Five critique partners,
Four brave heroes,
Three act structure,
Two ruthless villains, and

On the sixth day of Christmas,
My true muse sent to me
Six hours crying,
Five critique partners,
Four brave heroes,
Three act structure,

On the seventh day of Christmas,

Seven pots of coffee,
Six hours crying,
Five critique partners,

Eight weeks revising,
Seven pots of coffee,
Six hours crying,

Eight weeks revising,

On the eleventh day of Christmas,

Eleven months of querying,
Ten last draft typos,
Nine beta readers,
Eight weeks revising,
Seven pots of coffee,
Six hours crying,

On the twelfth day of Christmas,
My true muse sent to me
Twelve agents calling,
Eleven months of querying,
Ten last draft typos,
Nine beta readers,
Eight weeks revising,
Seven pots of coffee,
Six hours crying,
Five critique partners,
Four brave heroes,
Three act structure,
